Nestled in the scenic community of Sands Point, Long Island, NY, this estate has undergone an extensive restoration, led by JDI Home Renovations. Originally designed by the renowned architect Richard Meier, the project aimed to preserve the property’s iconic design while incorporating modern enhancements. Spanning 2 1/2 years, this ambitious renovation brought new life to both the main house and the boathouse, seamlessly blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary touches.

JDi Home Renovations began with a complete renovation of the cedar siding and roofs on both buildings, including the installation of new skylights in the main house and copper flashing on all the roofs. The outdoor spaces received special attention, with the main deck, walkways, pool deck, and boathouse deck all revamped for a refreshed look and feel. Additionally, a cabana-style bathroom with a sauna was added under the main deck, adding both convenience and luxury to the outdoor area.

Inside, JDI updated the interiors by painting both homes and renovating four bathrooms. A new pool and sitting area were also installed, transforming the outdoor space into a serene retreat perfect for relaxation and entertainment.
